US President Joe Biden, who is under intense scrutiny amid questions over his age and fitness, mistakenly introduced Ukraine's president as Vladimir Putin during a speech in Poland on Saturday.

Biden was speaking about the war in Ukraine when he made the gaffe. He said: "I'm confident that President Putin will not succeed in his goal to dominate Ukraine." Moscow's plan and Putin's has been to dominate all of Ukraine," Biden said. "He has not done that. He will not do that. The United States, together with our allies and partners, are going to stand up to the aggression of President Putin," he said.

Biden's mistake was quickly noticed by social media users, who pointed out that the Ukrainian president is actually named Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The White House has not yet commented on the gaffe.
